Example of Hearing God's Voice in REAL LIFE: ME (part 1)

There were a couple times when I'm not so sure which is God's voice and which is my feeling that He might be there (which means "Well, maybe He might be there, He might be."). In those times, I feel worried most of the time, don't know which to hear, and most importantly, it's my LIFE direction. It leads me to what God wants me to be.

Indeed, sometimes I think variably either my action towards people and my decision in life. Is it something that pleases God or not? Often times, as a plain human, I think that the things were destined for me. For example, if I did something wrong, suddenly, accusations came into my mind and blamed me for everything, well, the conversation in my mind would be like this:

"You've got a bad grade, Edgard, a horrendous grade!"

"Yes, I know, I know.."

"You shall study until the morning and work harder!"

"Yes, Yes, I will do that."

Some people have that kind of thinking but it's just weird having that kind of  conversation in your mind. Another one would be like this, but this might be for those people who suicide because they thought they've did something terribly wrong.... like the JIS event

"You're not worthy anymore to live, you've done the most terrible thing anybody has ever done!"

"Yes, I'm worthy to die than live, I've done an awful thing."

"Then, go, suicide, you're not worthy to LIVE! You've sinned against the Lord and put him on the cross! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY"

That might be the conversation in his mind, then reaching for the poison, he drinks it and he dies in despair and guilt. But, where will he go? To the fiery rivers of hell.

So, this is an example of when you don't hear God's voice when doing the wrong thing, accusations will embedded in your mind, guilt will be planted in your heart and other bad things that will come and scramble your direction towards the godly path.

Actually, the key is this: BE CLOSE TO GOD

  1. Amen... Don't listen to the voice of condemnation. Listen to the voice that gives you the grace to do the right thing! Romans 8
